Products We Recommend
With 45+ years of dog ownership and (at least) 14 dogs between us, we have tried tons of products. Here are some of our favourites.
We feed Pro Plan and highly recommend their puppy food for strong, healthy puppies. Older dogs (>1 year) should transition to an adult formula based on their needs.
Small Ruffland Kennels
We HIGHLY recommend travelling with your dogs in a kennel. Ruffland Kennels are safe, secure, and high-quality. Bonus - they come in fun seasonal colours!
With active dachshunds, it is important to protect their backs and joints. In addition to proper nutrition and conditioning, we use joint supplements.
Greenies Teenies
Dental health is unfortunately often a losing battle with dachshunds. We do find a marked difference when we use Greenies daily! Teenies are the appropriate size.
24" Wire Crates
We find that 24" wire crates are the perfect size for miniature dachshunds at home. Any brand works, but we like ones with two doors and a divider for crate training. A cover is a bonus but we often use old sheets or towels!
Coachi Training Toys
Coachi makes fantastic affordable training toys for whatever sport goals you have. We particularly like the tulip balls for agility!
